Hoboken Public Library Friends & Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2022.
We are volunteers dedicated to helping our creative and dynamic library serve the community. The Hoboken Public Library relies on the Friends & Foundation to raise money for additional programs and services outside of its budget, and for capital improvements.
We are the union of two like-minded organizations that have served the Hoboken Public Library community for many years: Friends of the Hoboken Public Library (est. 1986) and Hoboken Library Foundation (est. 2012).
Our merger combines the strengths of both legacy organizations to best serve the needs of the library in our community.
The mission of the Friends & Foundation is to advocate for strong public funding of the library, to create heightened public awareness of the library, and to raise private funds for Library programs, capital needs, and other emerging needs identified by the library.
